I am truly so angry I’m speechless. How much does a full-face Thermage treatment cost in Taiwan? Go look it up; it easily costs 50,000, 60,000, or even up to 80,000. I always thought this was the market rate until I checked the price list for Seoul’s Thermage and Ultherapy on BeautsGO—
I literally stood up in anger. Taiwan is such a rip-off!

Just how cheap are Seoul’s Thermage and Ultherapy prices? Let me show you the data first
I checked the prices for Thermage and Ultherapy treatments at several reputable clinics in Seoul with Naver ratings above 4.8 on BeautsGO, and organized them as follows (converted to TWD):
| Item | Seoul Reference Price (TWD) | Taiwan Market Rate (TWD) |
|---|---|---|
| Full-face Thermage (Monopolar) | Approx. 16,000–22,000 | Approx. 45,000–70,000 |
| Full-face Ultherapy (HIFU) | Approx. 10,000–16,000 | Approx. 25,000–45,000 |
| Combined Thermage & Ultherapy Full-face | Approx. 20,000–28,000 | Approx. 55,000–80,000 |
| Localized Thermage (Lower face/Eye area) | Approx. 6,000–10,000 | Approx. 15,000–25,000 |
After looking at this table, do you understand why I stood up in anger?

There are reasons why Seoul’s Thermage and Ultherapy are cheap; it’s not “poor quality”
I know many people’s first reaction is “is it so cheap because they’re cutting corners?” I had the same question at first. But after researching, I learned that there are several structural reasons why Seoul’s Thermage and Ultherapy are cheap:
- Intense Competition: The density of medical beauty clinics in Seoul is extremely high, especially in areas like Gangnam, Myeongdong, and Sinchon. There might be a dozen clinics on the same street targeting the same customer base, so prices must be competitive.
- Fast Equipment Depreciation: High usage rates mean the fixed costs of the machines are spread out, making them lower than in Taiwan.
- Mature Medical Tourism Market: A large number of international guests brings economies of scale; clinics don’t need to rely on a single customer to make a large profit.
- High Technology Popularity: Thermage and Ultherapy technologies are very mature in Korea and are not scarce services, so pricing naturally returns to normal levels.
In other words, the low price is a result of market competition and doesn’t mean there’s an issue with the technology or equipment. Furthermore, those clinics on BeautsGO with ratings of 4.8 or 4.9 have plenty of real post-procedure reviews from users to back them up.

The correct way to search for Seoul Thermage and Ultherapy on BeautsGO
This is how I currently check Seoul Thermage and Ultherapy prices on BeautsGO:
- First, select the region: Seoul (you can further select Gangnam District, Myeongdong, Hongdae, etc.)
- Then, select the treatment: “Thermage” or “Ultherapy” or “HIFU” (the app integrates synonymous terms)
- Filter criteria: Naver rating of 4.8 or higher, Chinese language service available, accepts tourist reservations
- Check price ranges: Each clinic lists reference prices and what’s included
- View post-procedure cases: Confirm the authenticity of the results
After filtering like this, there are usually five to ten candidate clinics. Then, just pick two or three to book a free consultation and make a final decision based on how you feel after the consultation.

Let’s do the math: is it still worth it to go to Seoul including round-trip airfare?
Many people ask: even if Seoul is cheaper, is it still worth it once you add airfare and accommodation? Let me calculate it for you:
- Taipei → Seoul round-trip airfare (off-season): Approx. 5,000–8,000 TWD
- Three nights accommodation in Seoul (budget hotel): Approx. 3,000–6,000 TWD
- Seoul full-face Thermage/Ultherapy: Approx. 16,000–22,000 TWD
- Total: Approx. 24,000–36,000 TWD
Compared to the 45,000–70,000 TWD for a full-face Thermage treatment in Taiwan, it is still much cheaper to do it in Seoul, even with travel expenses included. Plus, you get a trip to Korea out of it.
After seeing these numbers, do you still think Taiwan’s prices are reasonable? I can only say that thanks to BeautsGO, my horizons have been broadened regarding this matter, and I know much more clearly where I’ll go for my next Thermage or Ultherapy treatment. ✨
